As expected, Knife Party nailed its performance at Mezzanine in San Francisco last week. We were very excited to be there and the boys definitely didn’t disappoint. The night had everything needed to be amazing: an exclusive venue, high energy, an awesome crowd, and of course, Knife Party’s crazy performance.

The mid-week party went down January 28 and was sold out days in advance. Sam F, a widely-known DJ in the area, kicked things off with an awesome performance. One of his highlight moments came when he mixed “All the Small Things” by Blink 182 into his set, much to the delight of the crowd.

Next, the long-awaited Knife Party came out and set the room on fire. The duo’s setlist included mostly original work, such as beats from its debut LP, Abandon Ship. The group mixed in other artists’ music as well, but always in interesting and unique ways. The set really proved how much the two know about the electronic music genre, and reinforced why they are so well known throughout the world.

In a few words, the performance went far beyond expectations and any further description would prove challenging; you really must experience the intense, unique, and crazy vibes of Knife Party’s live show for yourself. We will all no doubt be hearing a lot more from these guys in the near future.
