An Evening of Hope in San Francisco

BY EVENTSEEKER STAFF

Tomorrow, October 24th, HIV advocacy group Project Inform will host a fundraiser in downtown San Francisco. The event, called Evening of Hope–A Night of Lifesaving Fashion, will feature a fashion show and a live auction. Attendees will be treated to cocktails, delectable treats, and music by djDCM.

The “Mx of Ceremonies” will be gender-bending artist, writer, and performer Justin Vivian Bond. You will also be able to meet Project Runway contestant Mondo Guerra, who will present his “I Design” campaign. “I Design” is aimed at encouraging HIV patients to communicate with their doctors with the goal of developing more personalized treatment plans. Finally, Project Inform will be honoring Jeffrey Crowley, M.P.H, former director of Office of National AIDS Policy. He will receive the Thomas M. Kelley Leadership Award.

The fundraiser will start at 6 pm. The venue will be the City View event space on the fourth floor of the Metreon.

Founded in 1985, Project Inform is a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization that fights for better treatment of people with HIV and hepatitis C. Its executive director is Dana Van Gorder and the board president is Christopher Esposito.
