Vegas is all about gambling and celebrating life. Whether you’re enjoying cool drinks by the pool, checking out the numerous hotel attractions, or learning how to play poker or blackjack, there’s lots to do in Sin City! But Vegas is also famous for its great shows. The shows are seasonal, so we did you a favor and did some research on current Vegas shows that are worth seeing.
Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil
This is not any regular tribute to the King of Pop, it’s a musical and a circus all in one show! While experiencing some of Jackson’s greatest moments, you’ll see dancers flying up in the air, acrobatics, and explosions. “ONE” is packed with special effects and amazing choreography, and is a breathtaking show, even if you’re not a fan of the King himself.
Jersey Boys
“Jersey Boys” has been a Broadway hit musical for many years and even made it over the big pond to London’s West End. It was also turned into a movie because people just can’t get enough of it. So, if you are one of the few people who hasn’t seen “Jersey Boys,” be sure to do so while you’re in Vegas! The musical, about four Jersey boys who are seeking fame, is highly entertaining and features some great sing-along tunes.
Le Rêve by Cirque Du Soleil
“Le Rêve” is a Vegas all-time favorite! It was the first show to be presented at the Encore Hotel and has been around since 2005. The water circus show mesmerizes its audiences and makes them feel like they’re in a dream. The added bonus is that no seat in the crowd is more than 40 feet away from the stage, which allows for great views and makes you feel like you’re a part of the show.
Britney Spears – Pieces of Me
This show is only running for another couple of months at the Planet Hollywood Casino and Hotel and is worth checking out whether you’re a Britney fan or just looking for a fun night out with the girls for drinks and singalongs. Britney doesn’t sing live and has gotten a little older, but this is still a great show if you want to travel back to the past.
Penn & Teller
This magic/comedy duo has been around since the 70s. Both entertainers are in their sixties now and still haven’t gotten tired of performing magic together. Penn is the one who does the talking while Teller does most of the tricks. Their shows definitely leave the audience in awe, wondering how they do it.
Cirque du Soleil – O
Similar to “Le Rêve,” “O” is another water circus show. However, “O,” which plays at the Bellagio, is a much bigger show with a much larger stage. “O” stands for the pure essence of water and the show features retired Olympic swimmers and divers. Since the stage is bigger, the audience also isn’t as close to what’s going on and the chances of getting splashed are a lot lower.
Boyz II Men
Three of the four Boyz II Men singers perform their first Vegas show at the Mirage Hotel and Casino. The show features some of the group’s greatest hits and will surely melt some hearts in the audience. While the band still produces albums and writes songs, this show is especially great for a nostalgic throwback where you can relive the 90s. The highlight of the show is when the band hands out roses to the audience.
