Former Here We Go Magic member Kristina Lieberson, also known as Teeny Lieberson, formed TEEN in 2010 with her sisters Katherine and Lizzie and their friend Jane Herships. TEEN rejects the simplified pop princess sound and instead merges layers of dream-like psych haze and “kraut-laced reverie” with punches of lo-fi directness and percussion-driven build ups. It is a combination that makes for an ethereal experience and then turns it on its head with driving force. This is a band with guts and with their current tour on the west coast alongside Eleanor Friedberger, is one that is sure to turn heads creating as much of a presence live as they do in any of their recordings.
