To kick off its latest tour, The Heavy Pets played a two night doubleheader at one of San Francisco’s most renowned venues, the Boom Boom Room. Both Friday and Saturday nights, the venue was packed by crowds of all ages getting down to the sweet sound of rock ‘n’ roll!
Hailing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, The Heavy Pets successfully incorporates rock with a generous helping of funk and a dash of reggae fusion into its signature sound. The band members’ energy and love for performing together was felt in the music and by their elated stage presence.
With classic rock ‘n’ roll guitar riffs, funky bass lines, soulful keyboard accompaniment, and the jam band sound coming from the drums, the group was able to rock the Boom Boom Room until 3 a.m. both evenings. The audience could feel that these five guys were up on stage playing from their hearts and souls, and that was enough to keep the crowd stoked the entire night.
Toward the beginning of the second set, the band showcased a segue of unique sound leading up to the finale, and when the show ended there was no doubt the crowd wanted more.
The Heavy Pets’ performance at the Boom Boom Room was pure rock ‘n’ roll!
These guys are worth keeping tabs on as they continue to climb their way up.
