Pack your bathing suit, book a flight, and get ready to party hard; the spring break season is on! Tons of college students from all over the U.S. are being released from classes and left to their own devices, which means travelling to tropical areas and hitting big parties by the ocean or the pool.
There are plenty of destinations that offer an awesome spring break experience, but we hand-picked five of the largest, most famous, or most unusual ones. Check it out!
1. Panama City, USA – Florida
This season is so important to Panama City that it was dubbed by many as “The Spring Break Capital of the World”. Through early April, the city will keep its young visitors entertained with a wide range of parties, outdoor concerts, contests, white sand beaches, nice bars, and restaurants. Be sure to check in at Club La Vela and get a room at the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort. These are the headquarters of the city’s spring break.
2. Lake Havasu, USA – Arizona
Who said you need to be by the ocean to have a killer spring break? Grab a boat rental and join the other students to enjoy the sun, the wild floating parties, and the amazing landscape of Lake Havasu. Having a boat is not optional here, as you’ll need one to reach the two most popular party locations: Copper Canyon and the sandbar.
3. Cancún, Mexico
This Mexican paradise of sandy beaches and turquoise water is always a good pick, but during spring break, Cancún becomes even more appealing. The city is one of the most visited spring break destinations on the entire globe and offers a lot of options for those who want to party hard during the holiday. Partygoers usually get an all-inclusive package at one of the city’s many resorts, enjoying cocktails by the sea during the day and attending crazy parties at night at places like Señor Frog’s and Dady‘O.
4. Nassau, Bahamas
With all the attractions of a typical Caribbean paradise, the Bahamas has become a popular destination for spring breakers because it’s easy to reach (only 50 miles off the coast of Florida) and has some great party options. Nassau is the most popular spot for spring breakers in the country, offering some cool all-inclusive resorts and many nightclubs, such as the famous Club Waterloo. The vibe here tends to be more laid-back than the previous destinations we mentioned, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still find some wild parties to attend.
5. Negril, Jamaica
If you are looking for a real low-key atmosphere, this is the place to be. This small town has beautiful beaches and a cool nightlife that will surely keep you entertained during spring break. The buzziest area during the holiday is around the 7-Mile beach, where you can find some great hotels and party venues. While in Jamaica, be sure to attend a party at Margaritaville, tube down the Great River, and take a ride on the rope swing at the waterfalls. Guaranteed fun!
