Spring has definitely sprung here in San Francisco. The weather has taken a solid turn for the spectacular, the flowers in Golden Gate Park are bursting into bloom, and the annual Bouquets to Art exhibit at the de Young Museum is well under way. The exhibit, which is celebrating its 32nd year, features the work of the Bay Area’s most inspired floral designers. Each year, a select group of floral designers choose pieces from the de Young’s permanent collection to recreate with flowers and other natural materials. The result is over one hundred floral interpretations of some of the museum’s most iconic works. Due to the nature of wilting flowers, the exhibit only runs for a short period of time. This year, Bouquets to Art is being held from Tuesday, April 5th through Sunday, April 10th.
